The Signal Jam Project began as an experiment to push back against the pervasive flood of advertisements saturating our daily lives. Ads, once merely occasional interruptions in our digital landscape, have evolved into a constant assault on our attention. The Signal Jam Project draws inspiration from the concept of “jamming,” a term typically used to describe radio interference. Where deliberate disruption fractures communication, and applies it to the world of advertising. It invites readers to reflect on their own experiences with advertisements by looking back at ourselves and asking this critical question: How deeply have ads invaded our lives, and how do we reclaim that space?
